Stringent Regulations for Food Distribution

Temperature control of foodstuffs is a fundamental concept of HACCP procedures.
Regulation (EC) No. 37/2005 requires the recording of temperatures. Means of transport and storage of quick-frozen foodstuffs must be equipped with a temperature recording system which complies with Standard EN 12830.
Regulation (EC) 852/2004 on Food Hygiene requires that temperatures during food storage and handling are maintained at appropriate levels, and are checked and recorded.
In parallel, Regulation (EC) No. 37/2005 requires that recording instruments for the transportation, storage and distribution of refrigerated, frozen and quick-frozen foodstuffs and ice creams are checked periodically in accordance with Standard EN 13486.
